Subwoofer and amp wiring diagram

A mono amp driving a single subwoofer is the most common first upgrade in car audio. This diagram shows the wiring pattern: 4-gauge from the battery with a fuse, chassis ground under 18 inches from the amp, a line-out converter (LOC) tapping the factory head unit for signal, remote turn-on, and speaker wire from the amp to the sub.
